From-scratch Linux appliance
Built using the Linux From Scratch method — not repackaged Ubuntu, not a Docker host overlay. A purpose-built OS with only the components the Novex stack requires.
Every Novex service pre-wired
NovexERP, NovexMail, NovexAPI, and all supporting services ship configured and integrated. No manual service configuration or connection strings to set.
SELinux-hardened by default
Mandatory access controls ship enforcing out of the box. The appliance is locked down from the first boot, not secured as an afterthought.
Air-gap capable
No outbound network requirements. NovexOS runs completely isolated if your facility requires it — no license servers, no telemetry, no cloud dependencies.
Podman-based service isolation
Services run in Podman containers with bind-mount isolation and SELinux context labeling. The appliance is auditable at every layer.
Runs on commodity hardware
No proprietary hardware required. Any modern x86-64 server or mini-PC running NovexOS becomes a fully operational Novex appliance.

NovexOS is not a thin wrapper on an existing distro. It is a from-scratch Linux appliance, assembled from source, built for exactly one job.
- Linux From Scratch method. Every package compiled from source, no cruft from a base distro. The binary image is minimal, auditable, and contains exactly what the Novex stack needs.
- Podman over Docker. Rootless containers with SELinux bind-mount labels. No Docker daemon running as root. The attack surface is as small as it can be.
- One-step appliance setup. Write the image to a drive, boot, configure your organization name and network. The stack comes up pre-integrated. No Ansible playbooks, no manual container orchestration.
